Woodside Dressage Show

Congratulations to Amira Shaban on Katania and their successful debut at 2nd Level. Amira won her Second Level Test 1 Class with a 60%.

Pebble Beach Dressage Show

Congratulations to Chloe McNally and Lad's Night Out on an outstanding show at Pebble Beach. Chloe placed 2nd and 3rd in all of her first level classes against some tough competition.

Dressage at Villa Rosa

Congratulations to Chloe McNally and Lad's Night Out on winning JR/YR/AA High Point Champion of the entire show with a 66% at First Level Test 3!!! Way to go!! Chloe and Lad's Night Out also won their First Level Test 4.

Christiane Noelting’s Dressage Derby

The Berry Hill Farms team went to Vacaville for the Memorial Weekend to compete at the Dressage Derby held at Christiane Noelting’s Dressage Center. This was the first overnight show for the season and everyone had fun and good rides.

Congratulations to Pat Leake and Romantico who swept all of their Training Level Tests with scores in the mid to high 60%. Pat and Romantico are now qualified for the CDS Championships at Training Level. Furthermore, Romantico also won his First Level Test 1 with a score of 70% where he was shown by Veronika Opitz-Berry. This was his first time out at First Level.

Congratulations to Birgit Pape and Equador for winning their Second Level Test 2 class on Sunday with a score of 65.6%. They placed 3rd in the Second Level Test 4 class on Sunday with a 62% giving them two more qualifying scores for the CDS Championships. On Saturday they placed 2nd and 3rd in the same classes.

Congratulations to Marika Groleau and Tundra who had their first outing at 3rd level where they placed 1st and 2nd. In their Second Level Tests they placed 3rd and 4th.

Congratulations to Svetlana Gorski and Dorey Clayton's Cincinnetti on placing 3rd and 4th at First Level Test 3 and 4 respectively, and for placing 3rd and 5th at Second Level Test 1 and 2.

Yarra Yarra Dressage Show

Unlike the last show in March with not so favorable weather conditions, the show at the end of April turned out to be on a nice, almost too hot, spring day and was a huge success for the Berry Hill Farms team. Congratulations to all of the riders:

Svetlana Gorski and Dorey Clayton’s Cincinnetti won both of their First Level Test 3 and 4 classes with scores of 68% and 64%.

Chloe McNally and Lad’s Night Out continued on to a 70% at First Level Test 3, placing 2nd in this class (they were tied for first) and a 64% at First Level Test 4, winning that class. Chloe and Lad’s Night Out are now qualified for the Junior Championships at First Level.

Birgit Pape and Equador had their show debut at Second Level and won their Second Level Test 2 class receiving a qualifying score for the CDS Championships. At Second Level Test 1 they placed 3rd in their class. Birgit has now fulfilled her 2nd Level requirements for her Bronze medal.

Denville Kanani Dressage Show

Congratulations to Chloe McNally and Lad’s Night Out on their successful show debut. This was Chloe’s first show with her new horse and she earned her first qualifying score for the Junior Championships at First Level.

Amira Shaban and Katania had two nice rides at First Level, too.

Yarra Yarra Dressage Show

As we endured a cold, rainy and stormy day at the show, Pat Leake and Romantico placed 2nd and 3rd in their Training Level classes with scores in the mid 60%. Pat and Tico are now qualified for the ABIC/USDF Championships.

Despite the rain, Svetlana Gorski and Dorey Clayton’s Cincinnetti had two nice rides at First Level Test 3 and 4 with scores in the 60% and placing both 2nd in their classes.

Denville Kanani Dressage Show

Congratulations to Pat Leake and Romantico for their successful show debut. They won their Training Level Test 3 class with a score of 67.9% and won their Training Level Test 4 class with a 74%. This score also made them the Amatuer High Point for the show.

Congratulations to Svetlana Gorski on Dorey Clayton's Cincinetti and their successful show debut at First Level. They won their First Level Test 1 class with a 68%, which made them the Reserve Amateur High Point for the show. In their First Level Test 2 they placed 2nd.

Veronika Opitz-Berry on Groowi placed 2nd at Prix St. Georges.

Congratulations to Veronika Opitz-Berry on winning her Prix St. Georges class with Groowi. This was their first show together.

Congratulations to Veronika Opitz-Berry and Greg Berry on the purchase of their new horse GROOWI (pronounced Groovy). Groowi is an 8-year old Oldenburg gelding who competed successfully at PSG in 2005.

Dressage Show at CTETA

Congratulations to Veronika Opitz-Berry on winning Training Level Test 4 class with Pat Leake's Romantico and a score of 68%. In their Training Level Test 3 class they placed second. This was Romantico's first show ever.

Also, congratulations to Chloe McNally and Marika Groleau on competing at First Level Test 3 and 4. Marika won the First Level Test 4 class with Chloe placing 2nd. In their First Level Test 3 class they placed 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Amira and Katania also placed 2nd and 3rd in their warm-up classes with consistent scores in the mid 60's.

Congratulations to Chloe McNally for showing outstanding Sportmanship

Chloe McNally and Nigel did very well in the team competition and had some bad luck when Nigel came up lame in the first test of the Individual Championship competition on Saturday. Nigel seems to be fine and it looks like he just sprained his ankle in the warm-up. He was much better on Sunday and Chloe was able to ride the Team Honorround with him. Chloe handled this unfortunate situation very well showing outstanding sportmanship and team spirit. Way to go Chloe!

Congratulations to Marika Groleau and Tundra for attending their first show

This was the first show ever for Marika and her horse Tundra. After a long lay-up the two made their show debut at the Junior Championships and did very well in their warm-up classes where they received two 7th places. In addition, they contributed to the overall team score and learned that they can trust each other when showing.

Webb Ranch Dressage Show

Congratulations to all Berry Hill Farms students to a very successful show:

Jenina Segale won her Training Level 4 class with a score of 69% with her event horse Southern Sage. This was their first dressage show together.

Chloe McNally placed 2nd in her First Level Test 3 class with a score of 66.285%. This was Chloe’s first time riding Test 3 at First Level and she had the same score as the winner of the class. Amira Shaban followed with a 4th place and a score of 65.4% and Cynthia Thickpenny with a 5th place and a score of 61%.

Amira Shaban won the First Level Test 4 class with a score of 67.5%! This is their highest score this year at First Level. Cynthia Thickpenny greatly improved her score from the first class to a 65% in this class and was awarded 3rd place. Chloe McNally received a 62% and a 5th place.

Berry Hills Farms adds Assistant Trainer!

Please welcome Jenina Segale as the assistant trainer to Veronika Opitz-Berry. Jenina will be helping to ride horses in training under Veronika´s supervision. In 2003/2004 Jenina spent over a year in Virginia as a working student for a 3-day eventer. She is a talented rider and very kind to horses. She will be a great addition to Berry Hill Farms.

Congratulations to Birgit Pape on entering co-ownership with Veronika Opitz-Berry of the 7-year old gelding Equador. Equador is a grey, Westfalien gelding who has successfully shown through 2nd level.

WELCOME to Cynthia Thickpenny at Webb Ranch. After a long wait Cynthia and her horse Nellie, a 10-year-old Dutch Warmblood mare, are happy to be at Webb Ranch – and we are happy to have them!!!

Congratulations to Dorey Clayton on the purchase of her Prix St. Georges horse Cincinnetti. Cincinnetti, aka Carly, is a 10-year-old, imported, dark bay, Hanoverian Gelding.
